Schedule 5/10 Pipe Sized Sanitary Tri-Clamp® Gaskets - EPDM

Note: Gaskets 3" and below are unflanged, 4" and larger sizes are flanged. These gaskets are intended for use with nominally sized pipe ferrules (Schedule 5 and Schedule 10). If you are looking for traditional Tri-Clamp® Tube OD ferrule gaskets we have as well as versions available.

EPDM Schedule V Pipe Gaskets are specified by many process equipment manufacturers and are generally suitable for these applications, however service life must be considered and a preventative maintenance program must be in place to mitigate degradation. EPDM Gaskets are generally only suitable for low pressure steam between -30°F and 300°F. EPDM is a good choice for Tri-Clamp® Gaskets when an economical solution for weather and chemical resistant seals is desired. Chemically, EPDM has good resistance to animal oils, vegetable oils, ozone, strong chemicals, and oxidizing chemicals. Do not use EPDM gaskets for mineral oils, solvents, or aromatic hydrocarbons.

Storing EPDM Gaskets:

  • Shelf Life: 10 Years from cure date
  • Store in original packaging in clean and dry warehouse
  • Do not expose to direct sunlight
  • Keep more than 6' away from electric motors
  • Maintain temperature between 65°F and 85°F
EPDM Gasket Standards Compliance:
  • FDA CFR 21, 177.2600
  • U.S. Pharmacopeia Class VI Certification
  • USDA Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points
  • Cytotoxicity Criteria
  • USDA and 3-A Sanitary Standards
  • ASME-BPE Standards for Type I and Type II
  • ADI Free® (Animal Derived Ingredient Free)
  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP)
EPDM Schedule 5/10 Pipe Gasket Features:
  • Color Code: three green dots • • •
