Furick Cup BBWSG-16 #16 Welding Cup Kit w/ Titanium Protector
Note: This cup requires the use of a
The Furick Cup BBWSG-16 #16 cup uses anywhere from 30-40+ CFH of argon flow depending on the application. It is recommended for use with 3/32" tungsten and carries a 180 amp rating on constant amperage, which can be increased if using pulse settings. Don't settle for inferior knockoffs!
All Furick Weld Cups are hand made in the USA from laboratory grade borosilicate glass. Due to the nature of the glass, "walking the cup" is not recommended with the glass Furick Cups.
The BBW Welding Cup is recommended for mild steel, stainless steel, chromoly, titanium, Inconel and other space grade alloys. This cup works best on thicker/larger applications where you need spread out coverage.
It is recommended with all the BIG Diffuser Cups that you start off on low amp settings to stabilize the arc, making sure you will not arc off the diffuser. If diffuser arcing occurs you will have to clean/regrind the tungsten. You will not hurt the diffuser on low amps but if you arc with high amps you can deteriorate the diffuser. Also be careful not to drop or hit cups against hard objects, as we all know the fragile nature of glass!
