Full Face 150# ANSI Flange Gaskets - Garlock GYLON® Style 3504 (1/16" Thick)
Rubber Fab is now proud to offer the Garlock GYLON® Style 3504 Gaskets. These are a PTFE gasket with Aluminosilicate Microspheres designed for use in moderate concentrations of acids, caustics, hydrocarbons, refrigerants, and more. Garlock uses a proprietary process that imparts unique physical properties that are not obtainable through conventional manufacturing methods. The manufacturing process reorients the PTFE and filler materials in a way that increases the gaskets tensile properties and decreases the creep relaxation problems that accompanies typical PTFE gaskets. In addition, the mixing process creates a homogenous material with consistent, superior physical properties that, unlike inferior skived PTFE sheet gaskets, do not fluctuate from one side of the sheet to another. Plus, Garlock's patented thermal bonding process allows us to fabricate gaskets of nearly any size.
GYLON® Gaskets also reduce creep and cold flow characteristics traditionally seen with PTFE gaskets. This style gasket is widely used in glass-lined flanges and other light-duty flanges where available torque is limited. GYLON® Style 3504 creates a tighter seal with improved performance over conventional PTFE, which reduces product loss and emissions. The unique manufacturing process minimizes cold flow problems typical of skived and expanded PTFE sheets and has excellent bolt torque retention. GYLON® Style 3504 can withstand a wide range of chemicals for extended service life in a wide variety of applications. Improved performance over conventional PTFE. Withstands a wide range of chemicals for extended service life in a wide variety of applications Ideal for wavy, warped, pitted, or scratched flanges, and for many types of flat faced flanges. Available in 0.0625" and 0.125" thicknesses.
