Rubber Fab's EPDM Cam and Groove Screen Gaskets are your solution for protecting pumps during tanker truck fluid transfer. Available from 10 Mesh (1905 micron retention) up to 100 Mesh (140 micron retention) for filtering a wide variety of process fluids. Each gasket is constructed with centering knobs on all sides to make installation and removal a breeze. These Camlock Screen Gaskets feature a 316L stainless steel screen, making them suitable for high purity systems as well. You can count on these Cam & Groove Screen Gaskets to protect your fill and finish sterile products. All Rubber Fab Screen Gaskets feature Dutch Twill weave which provides for maximum strength and minimum pressure drop. Extended sock screen camlock gaskets are also available where heavy debris is prevalent. The sock screen gaskets offer up to 300% more open area for 300% more particulate collection capability.
EPDM is specified by many process equipment manufactures and are generally suitable for these applications, however service life must be considered and a preventative maintenance program must be in place to mitigate degradation. EPDM Gaskets are generally only suitable for low pressure steam between -30°F and 300°F. EPDM is a good choice for Tri-Clamp® Gaskets when an economical solution for weather and chemical resistant seals is desired. Chemically, EPDM has good resistance to animal oils, vegetable oils, ozone, strong chemicals, and oxidizing chemicals. Do not use EPDM gaskets for mineral oils, solvents, or aromatic hydrocarbons.
