Cam and Groove Orifice Plate Gaskets - EPDM
Note: EPDM Camlock Orifice Plates ship with a blank plate finished to 15 µ-in Ra as standard, but we are happy to accommodate special requests for hole boring (concentric or eccentric), electropolishing, metal detectable elastomers, and custom cut patterns. Click here to submit a Request for Quote.
Rubber Fab EPDM Cam and Groove Orifice Plate Gaskets are designed with centering knobs on all sides to make installation and removal a breeze. These Sanitary Orifice Plates come standard with a 15 µ-in Ra Mechanical Polished 316L stainless steel blank plate, but are available electropolished to 10 µ-in Ra for special applications. We can also furnish these pre-bored to your specifications with eccentric or concentric bores up to 3" in diameter.
EPDM Camlock Gaskets are specified by many process equipment manufacturers and are generally suitable for these applications, however service life must be considered and a preventative maintenance program must be in place to mitigate degradation. EPDM Gaskets are generally only suitable for low pressure steam between -30°F and 300°F. EPDM is a good choice when an economical solution for weather and chemical resistant seals is desired. Chemically, EPDM has good resistance to animal oils, vegetable oils, ozone, strong chemicals, and oxidizing chemicals. Do not use EPDM gaskets for mineral oils, solvents, or aromatic hydrocarbons.
