Unflanged Sanitary Tri-Clamp® Detectomers® Metal Detectable Gaskets - EPDM
Part # : 40MPE-BUZ-XR
Price : $2.45 $5.64
Rubber Fab EPDM Detectomers® Tri-Clamp® Gaskets are part of their full line of x-ray inspectable and metal detectable sanitary gaskets. X-ray inspection and metal detection systems provides confidence to food, dairy and pharmaceutical manufacturers by insuring product safety and integrity as outlined by the Food Safety Modernization Act. Developing an effective inspection program to detect contaminants and to monitor the consistency and quality of product helps avoid product waste, recalls, costly down time and customer complaints. Due to it's low conductivity, elastomeric material is often missed by even the strongest detection systems. Rubber Fab's line of Detectomers® can be spotted by in-line x-ray inspection and metal detection systems as well as magnetic separators. Detectomers® products are a simple step in providing processing security against elastomeric contamination. EPDM Metal Detectable gasket particles are detectable down to 1mm in size.
EPDM Tri-Clamp® Gaskets are specified by many process equipment manufacturers and are generally suitable for these applications, however service life must be considered and a preventative maintenance program must be in place to mitigate degradation. EPDM Gaskets are generally only suitable for low pressure steam between -30°F and 300&Deg;F. EPDM is a good choice for Tri-Clamp® Gaskets when an economical solution for weather and chemical resistant seals is desired. Chemically, EPDM has good resistance to animal oils, vegetable oils, ozone, strong chemicals, and oxidizing chemicals. Do not use EPDM gaskets for mineral oils, solvents, or aromatic hydrocarbons.
