Cam and Groove Perforated Plate Gaskets - EPDM
Part # : CAM-P-E
Price : $67.80 $135.62
EPDM Perforated Plate Cam and Groove Gaskets are manufactured with a 22 Gauge 316L Stainless Steel Perforated Plate that has been flow trapped into the gasket body. These perforated hole gaskets are available standard with a 0.033" perforation and 0.055" straight line center, but other configurations are available, please contact us for details. This standard perforation contains 330 holes per square inch for a 29% open area. The center type is the center to center distance between each perforation and correlates to the holes per square inch and open area % of each gasket.
With a stringent ASME-BPE design, these filtration gaskets can be utilized for particulate removal in a number or processes and industries. Whether being used as a pre-filter for expensive membrane filters, or straining particulate in fill and finish products, these sanitary gaskets can save you from equipment wear and product contamination.
EPDM gaskets are specified by many process equipment manufacturers and are generally suitable for these applications, however service life must be considered and a preventative maintenance program must be in place to mitigate degradation. EPDM Gaskets are generally only suitable for low pressure steam between -30°F and 300°F. EPDM is a good choice of gasket when an economical solution for weather and chemical resistant seals is desired. Chemically, EPDM has good resistance to animal oils, vegetable oils, ozone, strong chemicals, and oxidizing chemicals. Do not use EPDM gaskets for mineral oils, solvents, or aromatic hydrocarbons.
Storing EPDM Gaskets: - Shelf Life: 10 Years from cure date
