EPDM Camlock Gaskets are specified by many process equipment manufacturers and are generally suitable for these applications, however service life must be considered and a preventative maintenance program must be in place to mitigate degradation. EPDM Gaskets are generally only suitable for low pressure steam between -30°F and 300°F. EPDM is a good choice for Camlock Gaskets when an economical solution for weather and chemical resistant seals is desired. Chemically, EPDM has good resistance to animal oils, vegetable oils, ozone, strong chemicals, and oxidizing chemicals. Do not use EPDM gaskets for mineral oils, solvents, or aromatic hydrocarbons.

Storing EPDM Gaskets:

  • Shelf Life: 10 Years from cure date
  • Store in original packaging in clean and dry warehouse
  • Do not expose to direct sunlight
  • Keep more than 6' away from electric motors
  • Maintain temperature between 65°F and 85°F
