The CBC-Lok product line offers a Pre-Setting Tool when fittings need to be installed in hard to reach places. The Pre-Setting Tool is designed to be used in any tabletop vice. After tightening the nut the specified number of turns, as stated in the included installation instructions, loosen the nut from the Pre-Setting Tool. Once the ferrules have swaged into the tubing surface, the assembly is ready for installation. Tylok's CBC-Lok fittings are comprised of four components: The Body, Front Ferrule (Collet), Rear Ferrule (Collet) and Nut. The front ferrule provides the leak proof seal while the rear collet grips the tubing to prevent it from pulling off. Each fitting is made to strict quality control standards and is fully interchangeable with Swagelok™ and Parker A-Lok™ fittings. All fittings are also heat code traceable.
Stainless steel fittings are subject to the Ty-Core Process, which involves Kolsterising® treatment that diffuses carbon into the surface of the steel to increase surface hardness without affecting the stainless steel's quality. A noticeable increase in corrosion resistance is pronounced when subject to media containing chlorides (sea water, bleach, HCL, etc.). This process also helps eliminate galling and ensures proper sealing on tube end make ups.
316L stainless fittings have a temperature range from -325°F to 1200°F and brass fittings have a temperature range from -40°F to 400°F. |
